It means the absolute world to me that you all want to help get the word out about Rules for Rule Breaking and also my upcoming book, which should drop in summer 2025 (as long as I make all my deadlines 😭). I don’t have an official synopsis yet, but as a little sneak peek, I’ll tell you the title: it’s called Solo Stan, and we move on from Winter and Bobby so that Bobby’s best friend, Dakarai, can get his own story.

Despite the title, this is not a K-pop story, even though that’s how it started. I saw Min Yoongi (SUGA/Agust D) when he was on his solo tour. I had tickets that were sort of far back, so the morning of the concert, I sold my tickets and bought closer ones. But I sold the tickets to two separate people, meaning they both went alone. I don’t want to dox these people, but they had the most adorable names, and my mind immediately went into Wattpad mode thinking that these two met at the concert and started dating. In my mind, these two are currently married, and yes, I take FULL credit. I will not be taking criticism or commentary at this time.

This is where the initial idea for Solo Stan came from, but I then decided to adapt the idea to fit Dakarai, and the K-pop aspect just didn’t fit anymore (though I currently have plans to dedicate this book to Min Yoongi. Just kidding. Or am I?). Solo Stan deals with feeling alone when your friends leave for college and not being afraid to enjoy your own company. The title just worked on so many levels, so I kept it.

As long as I get my manuscript in on time, the cover reveal will be on September 10, 2024, and ARCs will be here as early as October!

I can’t show you the cover just yet, but I can give you all a little blurred-out version so you can see the color scheme if you’d like to start planning your posts. There’s one more element that needs to be added before I can show you all—hopefully soon!

I think what I’ll do is keep Discord as the most up-to-date way to stay informed about important dates and tasks. That’s where I’ll post sneak peeks and goodies. However, I know not everyone uses Discord, so I’ll also send email blasts whenever there are important dates or tasks. Additionally, there will be an archive of all the sneak peeks and goodies on a password-protected page on my website, in case you miss them on Discord. I hope that’s not confusing.
